This course teaches students to design and implement security solutions to reduce the risk of revenue loss and vulnerability. It combines hands-on experience, instructor led lectures, and a web based curriculum while preparing students for certification in this field. This course prepares students for the Cisco Firewall Specialist exam and begins the preparation needed for the security-professional CCSP certification. Successful completion of the course also prepares students for the CompTIA Security+ exam and for further network security study. Prerequisite: CVNP1611, and CVNP3602.

This course introduces the learner to technical issues involving the planning, designing, creating and maintenance of a web site. Concepts include how to create and when to use tables, frames, forms, style sheets, templates, and more using Dreamweaver MX. Planning a site that is functional, legible, and uses straight forward navigation techniques is stressed. At the conclusion of the course, learners have a fully functional web site operating on a web server. Before enrolling, learners need basic Internet familiarity.

This course teaches learners how to receive and return database information to web users. Students learn how to create forms; add data to an existing database; update data to an existing database; and reply to the sender that data was added, updated, or received. Students learn these techniques by using Cold Fusion and SQL techniques. Prerequisite: CWEB1529.

This course emphasizes an awareness of effective graphical web design. Learners create web pages with different blends of color, fonts, images, navigation tools, and animation. Projects center on developing an effective user interface including fast loading pages, custom made navigation buttons, minimizing gif and jpg storage size, and incorporating multimedia and animation in a web site. Learners explore how to incorporate effective and pleasing web page design and development techniques.

This course covers all areas in basic automotive electricity and components. Basic DC electricity, starters, batteries, alternators, relays, switches, wiring, and distributors are covered. This provides students with entry level job skills for the electrical field.

Students learn basic arc, gas, mig, and tig welding techniques as they apply to the diesel mechanics field. This course prepares the students with entry level job skills for welding and equipment repair in the diesel mechanics field.
