Structure and function of the nervous system, neural communication, and neural mechanisms of higher nervous system functions and dysfunctions. Prereq: PSY 1010 or 1020. Nature and causes of various forms of abnormal behavior, including schizophrenia, depression, and neurosis, viewed from psychological, biological, cultural, developmental and historical perspectives. Diagnosis and treatment of pathological behavior. (T)
