Fall 2008 280f(01) Body and Space This course focuses on the issues surrounding body and space through installation, performance, and public arts projects. Students will explore the possibilities of body as an energetic instrument, while investigating the connotations of various spaces as visual vocabulary. As one uses one's own body as an essential part of the expression, naturally the self becomes the reservoir.We will examine the transformational qualities of the body as the conduit of gestural expression, which links conceptual and physical properties of materials, ideas, and space.
