This course is designed for persons wishing to take the American Council on Exercise certification exam or for fitness enthusiasts. Presentations on exercise sciences including exercise physiology, anatomy, applied kinesiology, as well as basic nutrition, fitness assessment, exercise programming, and instructional and spotting techniques. In addition, effective communication skills and motivation skills will be offered as well. This course provides book instruction as well as hands on practice skills. There are additional costs for the ACE Personal Trainer Manual. ACE exam is separate and participants can register with ACE to take the exam in May or August, in Boston.
