  • 2.00 Credits

This is the first in a series of lecture courses which provide the Radiology Technology student with the skills necessary to begin positioning patients for radiographic examinations. Specific topics include terminology of positioning, positioning and regional anatomy of the chest, abdomen and the upper and lower extremities. This course correlates with Radiographic Clinical Experience I (RADT121) and Radiographic Anatomy and Positioning Laboratory I (RADT111). Prerequisite: Acceptance into the Radiology Technology Program Corequisites: Radiologic Technology I (RADT101) and Radiographic Anatomy and Positioning Laboratory I (RADT111) and Radiographic Clinical Experience I (RADT121)
  • 2.00 Credits

This is the second in a series of lecture courses which provide the Radiologic Technology student with the skills necessary to position patients for radiographic examinations. Specific topics will include anatomy and positioning of the spine, skull, thoracic cage, gastrointestinal system and genitourinary system. Prerequistites: Radiologic Technology I (RADT101) and Radiographic Anatomy and Positioning Laboratory I (RADT111) and Radiographic Clinical Experience I (RADT121) and Radiographic Anatomy and Positioning Lecture I (RADT133) Corequisites: Radiologic Technology II (RADT102) and Radiographic Anatomy and Positioning Laboratory II (RADT112) and Radiographic Clinical Experience IIA & IIB (RADT126)
  • 2.00 Credits

This is the third in a series of lecture courses which provide the Radiologic Technology student with the skills that are necessary to position patients for radiographic examinations. Specific topics include anatomy and advance positioning of the skull and skeletal structures previously studied. In addition, students will learn to demonstrate specific anatomical and physiological conditions by studying the following radiographic procedures: Angiography, Arthrography, Brochogram, Sialography, Myelography, Venography, Lymphangiography, and special examinations of the reproductive system and ventricular system of the brain. Prerequisites: Radiologic Technology II (RADT102) and Radiographic Anatomy and Positioning Laboratory II (RADT112) and Radiographic Clinical Experience IIA and IIB (RADT126) and Radiographic Anatomy and Positioning Lecture II (RADT134) Corequisites: Radiologic Technology III (RADT103) and Radiographic Anatomy and Positioning Laboratory III (RADT113) and Radiographic Clinical Experience III (RADT127) and Radiation Science I (RADT131)
  • 2.00 Credits

This is the fourth in a series of lecture courses which provide the student with the skills necessary to position clients for radiographic examinations. This course will explore the range of radiologically demonstrated pathologic conditions. The correlation among specialized imaging modalities is also examined.
