Topics will include: active and passive voice, capitalization, change in grammar rules and usage, numbers parts of speech, pronouns, rules for all major and minor punctuation marks, sentence structures and comma rules, essential vs. nonessential clauses and vocabulary. Instructional emphasis is on English language and reading skills, as well as mathematics and use of the GED test- specific calculator. The course is a fast review, not designed to address needs for in-depth ESOL or ABE instruction. Before registering, a pre-assessment is required.
