(Fall) 3 hrs. A study of the organization, curriculum and instructional patterns in the middle grades, with emphasis on the growth and development of early adolescence. Emphasis is on varying patterns of curriculum organization and activities, school organization patterns, teachers' roles, instructional delivery systems including differentiated instruction, daily programs, courses of study, records, and evaluation of students.
