This course explores the elements of line, shape, value, color, and texture and principles of design and its relationship to composition. Subject and content are components of study as well. This mixed-media course introduces the student to the basic fundamentals and concepts of non-toxic printmaking: the development of an image on a particular surface, the transfer of the image to paper, edition printing, and presentation. Media may include photo and digital transfer, relief prints, silkscreen, intaglio, and monoprints.
