CNT 2020: Construction Surveying

Prerequisite: CNT 1030; plus CNT 2930 taken in the same or a previous semester Students learn fundamental surveying methods and receive practical experience in plane surveying for construction. Emphasis is placed on construction site safety, and learning to read and understand contract drawings and written materials. Students receive surveying instruction and guidance on care and use of instruments and field notes. Offered evenings and weekends.

CNT 2910: Cooperative Education I:Construction Management

Prerequisite: CNT 1010 or CNT 1020, plus permission of department chair Cooperative Education allows students to integrate academic study with on-the-job experience by working on paid training assignments coordinated by department faculty. The major objective of cooperative education is the application of classroom theory in a work environment. Participation is supervised by a college instructor and appropriate work-site personnel. Students meet with the instructor six weeks prior to the course. A minimum of 300 hours of work experience is required for the course. This course is intended for students pursuing the Construction Management degree. Offered days, evenings, and weekends.
