Functional topics and embryological development are integrated with histology in the lectures. The course is roughly divided into thirds. The final third is concerned with detailed development and histology of the oral cavity and teeth. Lectures are supplemented with photographic slides to enhance the student's appreciation of microscopic anatomy.
