Purposes and uses of oscilloscope, capacitor bridge and Wheatstone bridge rectifiers, carbon pile, copper oxide, selenium, germanium, and synthetic crystals. Basic concepts and uses of transistor. Includes problems in instruments and solid state components. Prerequisite(s): ELCT 112 or permission of division dean.
