Provides opportunities for undergraduate students to: 1. gain an overview of the structure and function of running waters; 2. explore various lotic habitats in the Emporia area; and 3. learn field and laboratory techniques for sampling and characterizing stream ecosystems. Class will often consist of both lecture and laboratory activities on a given day, but some sessions will be either entirely lecture or lab.
