Students will gain an overall knowledge of history, geography, social structure, politics, religions, languages and literature of these two countries. Students are encouraged to explore their thoughts and feelings about these cultures through papers, presentations, and class discussions. In addition to the regular lectures and reading assignments, guest speakers will be invited to meet with the class and several educational films will be offered.
