(3 Credit Hours) This is an introductory level course in learning and application of the principles of psychology applicable in a sporting setting. The result will be students who can utilize this context in describing, explaining and predicting behavior of individuals involved in athletics.

(1 Credit Hour) This course teaches the basics of exercise selection, muscle groups, program development, advanced training techniques, flexibility techniques through Propreceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation, and proper ways to increase speed.

(1 Credit Hour) This course teaches the basics of exercise selection, muscle groups, program development, advanced training techniques, flexibility techniques through Propreceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation, and proper ways to increase speed. Students will learn to design a periodization model, methods of plyometric training, and proper methods and techniques of Olympic weight lifting.

(1 Credit Hour) A course designed for the intermediate swimmer. Basic strokes, breathing techniques and water safety skills will be reviewed. Developing training goals, interval training, basic nutrition and deep water aquatic exercise will be introduced.

(2 Credit Hours) This course will teach students the skills and knowledge needed to prevent and respond to aquatic emergencies. The course content and activities prepare lifeguard candidates to recognize emergencies, respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, and prevent drownings and other incidents.

(1 Credit Hour) This course enables the student to achieve physical condition through exercise, strength, flexibility, and relaxations. This program will be for all fitness levels, allowing students to achieve personal goals at their own pace. This program takes a non impact approach to building bone density, therapeutic restoration of the mind and body. This course will emphasize Yoga, Thi Chi, and Yi Chin Ching (isometric exercises). PE 166 prerequisite.
