    This course will emphasize the development of graphic abstractions into both black and white and color translations, as well as the use of digital and/or traditional photography. There will be further emphasis on three- and four-dimensional computer modeling. Students will be introduced to the concepts of kinetic imagery and motion graphics.     This course is intended as an introduction to computer applications in the visual arts. Students take a computer software-based approach to image manipulation and generation, including the integration of computer hardware, software, and peripheral devises as tools to create and combine traditional and contemporary visual ideas as applied to art and design. This is not a graphic design computer course. This studio-based course includes appropriate instruction in the health and safety issues relative to the methods of the course and the materials being used. The student will also discuss the need for two methods of surface preparation and where each is most feasible to use.     This course provides an introduction into the replacement of non-structural panels. Removal and replacement of bolted or welded assemblies and components will be demonstrated.
