Topics include component identification, memory systems, internal and external component installation and configuration, preventive maintenance procedures, upgrading, documentation procedures, diagnosis and troubleshooting, and basic component repair. This course is an introduction to network security focusing on the overall security processes with particular emphasis on hands-on skills in the following areas: security policy design and management; security technologies, products and solutions; firewall and secure router design, installation, configuration, and maintenance; AAA implementation using routers and firewalls; Intrusion Detection (IDS) implementation using routers and firewalls; and VPN implementation using routers and firewalls.
