5.00 Credits Prerequisite(s): MSD 101, MSD 102, MSD 103, MSD 104 This course utilizes team methodologies to study the field of management. It encourages students to discuss their perception of management practices which have been studied during the management program. Topics include: current issues and problems in management and supervision and stateof- the-art management and leadership techniques. Students will be put into teams, will work on team projects to demonstrate their understanding of the competencies of this course, and will do peer evaluation.

3 Credits Prerequisite(s): Program Admission, MSD 101, MSD 102, MSD 103, MSD 104, MSD 106, MSD 113 Reinforcement of management, supervision, and employability principles in an actual job placement or through a practicum experience. Students are acquainted with occupational responsibilities through realistic work situations and are provided with insights into management and supervisory applications on the job. Topics include: problem solving, adaptability to the job setting, use of proper interpersonal skills, application of management and supervisory techniques, and professional development. The occupationbased instruction is implemented through the use of a practicum or internship and all of the following: written individualized training plans, written performance evaluation, and a required weekly seminar.

5.00 Credits Prerequisite(s): ENG 1101 Explores the analysis of well-known works of music, their composition, and the relationship to their periods through writing. Students practice various modes of writing, ranging from exposition to argumentation and persuasion. The course includes a brief review of standard grammatical Southwest Georgia Technical College and stylistic usage in proofreading and editing. An introduction to locating, acquiring, and documenting information resources lays the foundation for research. Topics include: the creative and critical process, the themes of music, the formal elements of composition, and the placing of music in the historical context, writing analysis, practice, revision, and research about a musical composition or compositions.

Topics include: cardiovascular, respiratory, endocrine, urinary, and gastrointestinal systems and associated illness; diet therapy; pharmacology; and nursing procedures/techniques utilizing the nursing process.

Topics include: wellness and prevention of illness; nursing care, treatments, drug and diet therapy related to patients with disorders of the musculoskeletal, neurological, integumentary, and sensory systems; nursing care, treatments, drug and diet therapy related to patients with mental health disorders; and oncology.

Topics include: health management and maintenance and prevention of illness in the pediatric client; nursing care, treatment, pharmacology, and diet therapy of the pediatric client; growth and development; deviations from the normal state of health, and universal precautions.

The definition of client care includes using the nursing process, performing assessments, using critical thinking, and providing client education. Topics include: health management and maintenance and prevention of illness; care of the individual as a whole; and deviations from the normal state of health in the reproductive system, obstetric clients, and the newborn; client care; treatment pharmacology, medication administration, and diet therapy related to the reproductive system, obstetric clients, and the newborn; and standard precautions.
