Introduces powersports vehicle fuel, ignition, and emissions systems theory, diagnosis, service, and repair. Topics include, but are not limited to, the theory, diagnosis, service, and repair of: carburetors, fuel injection systems, ignition systems, air induction systems, and positive crankcase ventilation systems.

PowerSports Equipment capstone class. This course builds on key areas of all prior PSE classes and serves as an exit course for those completing the program. Emphasis is placed on accurate diagnosis and repair of all major systems.

Provides student work experience in the occupational environment. Topics include: application of powersports technology knowledge and skills, appropriate employability skills, problem solving, adaptability to job setting, progressive productivity, and acceptable job performance.

Designed for students in the health or law enforcement fields. Personality development and growth toward autonomy are the basic foundations of this life-span psychology course. Choice, change, values, purpose, and active learning are addressed as processes involved in living the examined life. Managing conflict, stress, and anxiety through openness, directness, and assertiveness is discussed, along with our needs for solitude, authentic relationships, and an awareness of the grieving process in dealing with death and other losses.

Designed for associate degree programs, this course is an overview of the broad field of psychology. Some of the many sub-fields that will be studied include: the science of psychology; physiology and behavior; life stages/developmental; consciousness; sensation and perception; learning; memory; personality; abnormal behavior; therapy; and social psychology. Students will have a basic understanding of human behavior and how it is researched and applied to our lives. They will have a broad understanding of the many sub-fields and disciplines that make up the field of psychology. In addition, students will have the ability to apply many theories and concepts to their own growth and development.

Introduces the fundamental concepts and operations necessary to use microcomputers. Emphasis is placed on basic functions and familiarity with computer use. Topics include: computer terminology, introduction to the Windows environment, introduction to networking, introduction to word processing, introduction to spreadsheets, introduction to databases, and introduction to presentations.

Explores the sociological analysis of society, its culture, and its structure. Sociology is presented as a science with emphasis placed on its methodology and theoretical foundations. Topics include: basic sociological concepts, socialization, social interaction, social groups and institutions, deviance and social control, social stratification, and social change.

Introduces the fundamentals of oral communication. Topics include: selection and organization of materials, preparation and delivery of individual and group presentations, and analysis of ideas presented by others.
