1.00 - 6.00 Credits
This course is designed to enhance and enrich the educational experience of students who travel abroad in a program sanctioned by CGCC. It will provide students with an introduction to the culture(s) to be visited, an understanding and appreciation of the importance of the specific sites on the itinerary, and practical advice for the inexperienced traveler. This course will require both classroom attendance, travel to the country studied, and necessary expenses. Individual expenses and itineraries will be provided for each course.

3.00 - 9.00 Credits
International Study 2000 is used for students studying abroad in University System sanctioned foreign study opportunities operated by units of the University System of Georgia. To use this course designation, the student must present a brochure including a detailed course description published by a unit of the University System of Georgia to his or her faculty advisor. The advisor must recommend the inclusion of International Study credit in the student's program of study to the Department Head and Division Chairman for approval. 3-0-3 or 6-0-6 or 9-0-9.

This is an activity-based and inquiry-based Area F content course for early childhood education majors. This course will emphasize the characteristics of life, biodiversity/ heredity, energy flow, the interdependence of life, the cell, earth systems, and the lithosphere, hydrosphere and biosphere. These topics are in direct correlation with the Georgia Performance Standards (GPS) for K-5. Prerequisite: Completion of Area A Math Requirement and both Area D Science Requirements. 2-2-3

This course focuses on the three components of fluency in information technology; intellectual capabilities involving reasoning; complexity management; organization and communication; concepts involving computers; information systems; networks; digital representation of information; and algorithmic thinking skills involving setting up a PC, using an operating system, the Internet and instructional methods for new applications is also included. 3/3/3 Prerequisite: MATH 1111

Fundamentals of the Internet and the World Wide Web ITEC 1310 Credit Hours 3 Class Hours 3 Topics covered include electronic mail, Internet service providers, text editing, basic UNIX programming, researching adn publishing on line, the Internet, the World Wide Web, searching the World Wide Web, telnet and FTP, HTML programming, Web graphics, newsgroups, mailing lists, chat rooms, programming CGI scripts, Multimedia, and privacy and security issues.

This course continues the development of spreadsheet knowledge. Course topics include: making decisions with functions, 3-D references, importing data and utilizing database features, creating macros, using depreciation, and conditional functions, creating PivotTables and PivotChart reports, nesting functions and consolidating worksheets, working with data tables, scenarios and solver. 3 credit hours Pre-Requisite: CSCI 1201 and junior standing in BBA program.

This course continues the development of relational database knowledge. Course topics include: creating advanced queries and reports, creating macros, PivotTables and PivotCharts, creating advanced forms and reports, administrating and secuting databases, writing SQL statements, and customizing access using visual basic. 3 class hours, 3 credit hours Pre-Requisite: CSCI 1201 and junior standing in BBA program.

ITEC 4500 Special Topics in Information Technology and Electronic Commerce 3 class hours, 3 credit hours Repeatable for maximum of 6 credit hours Individual study, readings, and/or projects in information technology and electronic commerce under the direction of a faculty member in the Department of Business and Public Affairs.
