ECED 3330 - Integrated Methods Prerequisite: Admission to Teacher Education cohort, ECED 3310 This course examines the theory and practice that impacts current interdisciplinary teaching and learning in early childhood/elementary education. The interrelationships of subject area concepts and themes as they are applied to the early childhood elementary curriculum are explored. Inquiry of curriculum and instructional methods in diverse early childhood and elementary classrooms is conducted. Emphasis is on planning and curriculum design, methods of instruction and materials for teaching at the level of student ability, and application in real-world settings.

Students will learn about factors which affect aggregate production, employment and the general price level. Students will also study the Federal Reserve System and the role of the federal government in the economy.

A major focus is on household decision making and consumer demand, as well as production, cost and the firm's supply decision. Also addresses market structures, market failures, and the appropriate role of government policy in both a domestic and global context.

ECON 3200 Global Business and Economy 3 class hours, 3 credits Pre-Requisite: ECON 2105 This course introduces students to the basic elements of business and the global economy. The course examines global markets, international finance, balance of payments, the foreign exchange market, and global money and banking. The course also examines current business issues in the global economy. This course is intended for students of any major who are interested in learning about the global economy. A background in economics is not required.
