Prerequisite: HIST 4500 An individually designed course project involving off-campus study and research in a government or private agency. Supervision by sponsoring agency and faculty advisor. May be repeated for credit. Graded on a satisfactory/unsatisfactory (S/U) basis; credited among upper level courses but not part of the minimum 27 hours required for the major. Application and credit arrangements should be made through the department in advance, normally by mid-semester preceding the semester of internship. Must have a minimum grade point average in all history courses and 12 hours of upper level history including HIST 4500.
