Prerequisites: NUR2260C, NUR2142, NUR2450C, NUR1520C. Corequisites: NUR2141C, NUR2313C. This course is designed to assist the student in the transition from the role of student to that of graduate, enabling effective practice at the entry level. It is also designed to assist the graduate nurse to anticipate the challenges of a rapidly changing work environment. Information will be provided on such issues as dealing with social and economic factors that impact the profession, the role of professional organizations and licensure requirements. Tools for developing leadership/management roles, delegating appropriately, thinking critically and creatively will be presented. Contact: per semester: 15 hours.
