The purpose of this course is to emphasize critical thinking involving the discovery of relationships and their proofs and skill in applying the deductive method to mathematical situations. Topics shall include, but not be limited to, logic and reasoning, the study of Euclidean geometry of lines, planes, angles, triangles, similarity, congruence, geometric inequalities, polygons and circles, area and volume, and constructions. Prerequisite: AHS 1200310.

The purpose of this course is to provide students with the study of circular and trigonometric functions and their applications. Topics shall include, but not be limited to, circular functions; trigonometric identities; graphs of trigonometric functions; particular and general solutions of trigonometric equations; and solutions of right and oblique triangles. Prerequisite: AHS 1200330.

The purpose of this course is to provide students with an understanding of the concepts of design and simple data collection for a research project related to their initial individual plan for investigation of career choices in Central Florida. Research questions will be refined and hypotheses will be developed. Basic research will be conducted based on the defined hypotheses and data will be collected for analysis. The instructor will continue to serve as a mentor, providing direction and support for the research experience.

This course will also provide instruction in data collection and use.
