Curriculum covers multiple company operations, logistics, strategy, use of mutual aid forces and conflagration control. The course is intended for officers who may be in command of fires and other emergencies involving close coordination and maximum use of large amounts of staffing and equipment. Typical tactical situations and case histories are given. The development of critical thinking skills is stressed.

An introduction to the techniques and policies used to manage funds in business organizations. Topics include short-term financing, long-term financing, capital budgeting, capital structure, and financial statement analysis.

Prerequisite: FRE 1131. This course is a progression from FRE 1131 with increased emphasis on communication skills. Intermediate vocabulary and structure will be developed.

This course is an introduction to the accepted principles and practice of Leadership. The student will explore the cultural, organizational, and personal behavior aspects that contribute to effective leadership. Emphasis will be placed on understanding the differences between transactional and transformational leadership. The function of personal values and characteristics will also be explored.

This course provides an overview of the environment, concepts, and basic differences involved in international business. The interrelationships among culture, law, material and economic environments of global business will be explored. Topics include country-market differences, trade and investment patterns, the international financial environment, issues in business-government relations and strategies for international business.

Students will study the processes of weather, climate, and land forms, and will analyze the relationships among those phenomena on the earth. Through lectures, slides, films, and special reports, attention will be given to soils, water, and vegetation, and their impact on humankind's use of them in a geographic setting.

A descriptive study of the human cultural impact on the world with emphasis on population makeup and distribution, population location, natural environment, type of economy, and natural resources. Through lectures, films, and special reports, students will examine the interrelationships between these factors and human cultural expression.

Prerequisite: Placement at college level or completion of all required college prep courses. This course introduces the student to the internal and external features of the Earth such as minerals and rocks; plate tectonics; igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic processes; paleontology (fossils); economic resources; groundwater and environmental pollution. The laboratory involves practical application of tools and techniques used in geology for identification of minerals, rocks and fossils; measurement of the magnitude and epicenter of earthquakes; interpretation of geomorphology and landforms using topographic maps.

Prerequisite: GRA 1100C This course covers the process of digital graphic production from conceptual beginnings to final output of a client's product. Students will receive hands-on training in applying industry standards software to support graphic production needs for print, digital presentation and Internet publication.
