This course provides a general overview of foundation in ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) competencies based on Florida's manates and ESOL Standards. Theory and practice will be emphasized in the areas of applied linguistics, cross cultural communication and understanding, methods of teaching, assessment, and curriculum and material development. A Classroom Management Plan will be developed based on current issues and effective classroom strategies for diverse populations.
