This course will provide an overview and analysis of movements in drama as it exists in various forms. The course complements the general historical overview of drama provided by ENG 107 by delving more deeply into some specific concerns that led to new developments in the dramatic ideal. This course may be repeated for credit provided the post-colon subject matter is different. Alternate fall. This course is a survey of ancient Greek and Roman stories about heroes, gods, and the universe. It will also illustrate the influence of these myths on exemplary works of art, literature, and culture from Middle English literature through today. Alternate fall.
