CEN 497: Computer Engineering Senior Design I

Prerequisite: senior standing. This course provides the student time and guidance in selecting a topic for the senior design course (CEN 498 ), which follows this one. Suitable design projects may be suggested by the student, the faculty, or contacts in industry. Projects involving both hardware and software are encouraged. Each student carries out a literature search on the topic, prepares a written proposal with a plan of action for the project, obtains approval from the faculty advisor, makes oral reports of work in progress, and presents a formal project proposal.
