Students serve with an approved program/organization to gain a variety of on-the-job professional experience and apply theories and practices learned in adventure education courses. Each internship credit represents 50 hours of internship experience, so students should plan for a minimum of 7 weeks of full time experience. Internship sites are nationwide; some may include housing and/or a small stipend. Instructor permission required. A minimum 60 days of pre-approved adventure leadership/instruction experience required prior to enrollment in AE 480. Prerequisites: AE 310 Credits: 6-12
