Modernist literature from the beginning of the 20th century through World War II, including such writers as Eliot, Joyce, Forester, Ford, Yeats, Woolf and Barnes. Examines the social-political influences as well as the aesthetic and stylistic elements which define modernist writing. Prereq: Must have 30 semester hours or permission of the instructor.
