    The focus of this no-voice course is to give the student a higher level of a continuous and advanced level of American Sign Language and will include more Deaf Community involvement as well as Deaf culture to add on to the students' current basis for in-depth specific signs and norms. The course will help the student to increase not only additional signing vocabulary but also understand the advanced grammatical uses of ASL. Topics include laws and cases related to the governance and role of federal and state governments with regard to confidentiality, topics and activities pertaining to the implementation of comprehensive guidance and counseling programs, parent and student rights, discrimination and rights of the disabled, student discipline issues, and other topics influencing the profession of school counseling.
