No more than six hours of CCJ 4900, CCJ 4910 or any combination of the two will be accepted toward the minimum number of hours required for the major. This course is specifically designed to enable advanced students the opportunity to do in-depth independent work in the area of criminal justice. Each student will be under the close supervision of a faculty member of the program.

The internship will consist of placement with one or more of the agencies comprising the criminal justice system. This course will enable the students to gain meaningful field experience related to their future careers. The three-hour block of credit will require a minimum of ten hours of work per week during a fall or spring term, fifteen hours per week in summer, within the host agencies in addition to any written work or reading assignments.
