Designed primarily for older adults who wish to enjoy the therapeutic value of instrumental music and performance of music for the concert band. The opportunity to perform will be given to capable student directors, soloists, arrangers and composers. The emphasis is on music of all styles and periods.

Piano, rhythm, singing, conducting and music listening for older adults in the community. Emphasis on positive therapeutic, and social effects of music through group instruction.

This course is designed to teach students to develop their individual techniques and to acquire an acquaintance with as much fine music from the orchestral literature as their abilities permit. 54 lab hours.
