Topics include arranging jazz harmonies at the keyboard using techniques such as: three- and four-note rootless voicings, fi ve-note mixed-modal voicings, "drop 2," Red Garland voicings, and the "So What" chordThis course requires at least fi ve hours per week outside preparation. This course may be taken two times for credit.

    Prerequisite: Keyboard profi ciency required. The student must be able to play a composition for piano comparable in diffi culty to a Bach Two-Part Invention. General Education: CSU Area C1 Course Transferable to UC/CSU Hours: 54 hours LAB This course is designed to introduce and develop fundamental organ/ keyboard skills. It is required for organ majors. It may be taken twice for credit.
