Fall, Spring, Summer. Painting for advanced students seeking to develop individual expression in creative painting and technical mastery of various media. Six studio hours in class per week. Prerequisites: 291-292. Also, 301 is prerequisite to 302.

Spring of odd years. Exposure to materials, techniques and business practices in the field of illustration. Conceptual ideation, design, use of traditional media, and integration of computer technology. Storytelling through visual imagery and finding a personal voice in technical approaches will be explored. Six studio hours in class per week. Spring. Basic hand weaving techniques using a variety of looms; experiments in weaving with various textile fibers; analyzing and originating patterns with emphasis upon design in color and texture. Six studio hours in class per week. Fee: See course fee schedule.
