Methods, technologies, systems, and standards used in supply chain information systems and ebusiness for automatically identifying objects, and collecting and transferring data. Technologies such as bar coding, RFID, smart cards, magnetic striping, biometrics, GPS, real time locating, and voice data entry, as well as their business applications are addressed. Fall.

Provides practical information technology experience in a CIT setting. Students will be assigned to work with an outside organization to gain real world training. Prerequisite, Permission of Department Chair and Internship Director required. Fall, Spring, Summer.

This course will provide both an introduction to the nature of university education and a general orientation to the functions and resources of the university as a whole. This section of First Year Seminar is a special health professions section and will include a focus on understanding and appreciating various health professions and how laboratory professionals interact with other health care professionals.
