The course will include an in-depth review of the functional areas providing the basis for Child Development Associate competency. Also reviewed in a step-by-step approach are the activities necessary to complete the CDA process. A variety of ways to develop and refine a portfolio/resourcefile; compiling a portfolio/resource file reflective of one's competency in working in an early childhood setting are covered. The course will also provide students with directed participation in a childcare setting.
