    PREREQUISITE: PSY 210, NUR 202, and SPH 106, SPH 107 or SPH 116. COREQUISITE: NUR 204, Humanities elective. This course builds upon previous instruction and provides additional opportunities to develop competencies necessary to meet the needs of individuals throughout the lifespan in a safe, legal, and ethical manner using the nursing process. Students manage and provide collaborative care to clients who are experiencing selected alterations in cardiovascular, respiratory, and neurological systems in a variety of settings. Additional instruction is provided to care for selected mental health disorders, selected emergencies, multiple organ dysfunction syndrome and related disorders. Teaching/learning concepts, advanced dosage calculations, nutrition, pharmacology, communication, cultural, and community concepts are integrated.

    PREREQUISITE: PSY 210, NUR 202, and SPH 106, SPH 107 or SPH 116. COREQUISITE: NUR 203, Humanities elective. This course provides students with opportunities to gain knowledge and skills necessary to transition from student to registered nurse. Content includes current issues in health care, nursing leadership and management, professional practice issues for registered nurses, and transition into the workplace. Additional instruction is provided for preparing for the NCLEX-RN.

    This course is designed to enable the student to use the touch method of keyboarding through classroom instruction and outside lab. Emphasis is on speed and accuracy in keying alphabetic, symbol, and numeric information using a keyboard. Upon completion, the student should be able to demonstrate proper technique and an acceptable rate of speed and accuracy, as defined by the course syllabus, in the production of basic business documents such as memos, letters, reports, and tables.

    PREREQUISITE: OAD 101 with grade of "C" or higher or advisor approval. This course is designed to assist the student in increasing speed and accuracy using the touch method of keyboarding through classroom instruction and lab exercises. Emphasis is on the production of business documents such as memoranda, letters, reports, tables, and outlines from unarranged rough draft to acceptable format. Upon completion, the student should be able to demonstrate proficiency and an acceptable rate of speed and accuracy, as defined by the course syllabus, in the production of business documents. CORE

This course is designed to assist the student in continuing to develop speed and accuracy using the touch method of keyboarding through classroom instruction and lab exercises. Emphasis is on the production of business documents using decision-making skills. Upon completion, the student should be able to demonstrate proficiency and an acceptable rate of speed and accuracy, as defined by the course syllabus, in the production of highquality business documents.

This course is designed to provide the student with basic word processing skills through classroom instruction and outside lab. Emphasis is on the utilization of software features to create, edit and print common office documents. Upon completion, the student should be able to demonstrate the ability to use industry-standard software to generate appropriately formatted, accurate, and attractive business documents such as memos, letters and reports. Emphasis is on the use of industry-standard software to maximize productivity. Upon completion, the student should be able to demonstrate the ability to generate advanced business documents.

    This course is designed to teach the numeric touch system and problemsolving techniques. Emphasis is on basic mathematical functions.
