1st Semester. Lect. 3, 3 credits. This course introduces concept basic to the understanding of the reciprocal relationship that exists between nursing and the community. Emphasizes individual client community interaction. Content is applied to practice in NURS 0305L. Professional Practice I. Prerequisites: Successful completion of all pre-professional courses and admission to the Professional Phase of Nursing.

2nd Semester. Lect. 3. 3 credits. This course expands on content introduced in NURS 301 by focusing on family-community interaction. Content is applied to practice in NURS 0306L where students will begin to implement case management principles with families in the community. Prerequisites: All pre-professional courses, NURS 0305, NURS 0305L, NURS 0310, NURS 0311, NURS 0301.

2nd Semester. Lect. 3. 3 credits. This course focuses on the synthesis of public health and nursing resources for the promotion and preservation of community health. Emphasizes nursing's role in identifying and predicting direct and indirect stressors which influence the health and welfare of aggregates and communities. Prerequisites: NURS 0302, NURS 0306, NURS 0306L, NURS 0314.

1st Semester. Lect. 3. 3 credits. This course introduces students to concepts that are basic to the practice of professional nursing. Emphasizes the nurse's role in promoting client adaptation in primary and secondary setting. Prerequisites: Successful completion of all pre-professional courses and admission to the Professional Phase of Nursing.
