1st and 2nd Semester. Lect./Observation. 1 credit. This course provides an overview of the roles and education of the numerous allied health professions, and their interrelationships in total patient care.

3.00 - 4.00 Credits
Summer. Lect. 2, Lab 3, 4 credits. This course provides a study of the human body, including embryological and histological concerns with emphasis to their relationship to musculoskeletal and nervous systems.

1.00 - 6.00 Credits
1st and 2nd Semester. 1-6 credits. This course is designed for students in Allied Health professional programs with freedom and flexibility to pursue topics of special interest. Research or projects are conducted under the guidance of selected faculty.

2.00 Credits
1st and 2nd Semester. Lect. 2, 2 credits. This course familiarizes the student with terms used in health and medical settings. The course covers anatomic descriptive terms, combining forms, prefixes, suffixes, abbreviations, and acronyms.

3.00 Credits
1st Semester. Lect. 3, 3 credits. This course provides the fundamentals of Pathology, including basic alterations which occur in body tissue as a consequence of injury or disease; the correlation between pathological processes and clinical signs, symptoms, and alterations in function. Prerequisite: Gross Anatomy.

4.00 Credits
Summer. Lect. 2; Lab 4, 4 credits. This course acquaints the student with some of the basic mechanisms involved in circulation, membrane potentials, muscle contraction, nerve conduction and transmission, water regulation, digestion, and temperature regulation. To develop concept of some membrane and endocrine control mechanisms involved in circulation, water regulation, digestion, temperature regulation, and muscle contraction.

1st and 2nd Semester. Lect. 1, 1 credit. This course facilitates an understanding of research methods, develops skills, knowledge and attitude necessary for the critical reading and analysis of scientific literature related to health.

3.00 Credits
1st Semester. Lect. 3, 3 credits. This course provides a study of the relationship between sensory input and motor output as one of the fundamental concepts in the neurosciences. The anatomical relationships and physiological principles intervening in this relationship are of particular importance in both function and dysfunction. Prerequisites: Gross Anatomy 300 and Pathology 304.

2.00 Credits
1st Semester. Lect. 2, 2 credits. This course provides a study of psychological and social problems, and adjustment encountered by patients during rehabilitation and return to community. Problems will be related to current psychological literature on the physically disabled; methods of psychodiagnostic evaluations and treatment.

1.00 Credits
1st Semester. Lect. 1, 1 credit, This course introduces students to management skills applicable to clinical laboratory sciences, to including wage and salary administration, interpersonal relations, workload recording, cost analysis and other issues relative to entry level skills. Prerequisite: Approval of instructor.
