2nd Semester. Lect. 3, 3 credits. A comparative study of the major scientific accounts of the learning process. Emphasis is on the evaluation of each theory in terms of structure, scope, research, and potential applications, and in relation to other forms of psychological theory.

1st and 2nd Semesters. Lect. 2, 3 credits. Individual investigation and reports on advanced psychological topics. Prerequisites: Written permission from the instructor and the Departmental Chairperson.

1st Semester. Lect. 3, 3 credits. The field of psychopathology, including etiology, prevalence, classification, and treatment of mental inadequacies and disturbances and various interpretations of abnormal behavior.

1st Semester. Lect. 3, 3 credits. A detailed consideration of the theories of social interaction; the influence of culture in the development of personality; the anomalies of social interaction. Prerequisites: PSYC 0270.

1st and 2nd Semesters, Summer. Lect./Lab 3, 1 credit. Intensive study skills application with special emphasis on vocabulary, reading/graphical comprehension, and thinking skills.

This course expands on skills acquired in Reading 0101; also, it is designed to enable students to acquire and demonstrate application of analytical thinking, critical reading and test-taking strategies. Prerequisite: READ 0101 or by placement.

1st and 2nd Semesters. Lect./Lab 3, 3 credits. Expands on skills acquired in Reading 0101 and Reading 0102 and designed to empower students to think critically, solve problems, form concepts, make inferences and judgments, and recognize and evaluate arguments. Prerequisites: READ 0101 and 0102.

1st Semester. Lect. 0, Lab 4, 2 credit. In this course, participants are introduced to veterinary medicine and the history of the Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine. Basic academic reinforcement skills will be discussed. Emphasis is placed on the recognition of breeds (colors, markings, etc.), the restraint of animals, and the physical examination for both small and large animals.

2nd Semester. Lect. 0, Lab 3, 1 credit. In this course, participants are introduced to the basic principles of clinical medicine. Emphasis is placed on the restraint of animals, the routes of drug administration, the problem-oriented medical record, as well as diagnostic procedures applicable to postmortem, clinical pathology, radiological, and microbiological examinations (interdepartmental taught course).

1st Semester. lect 3, Lab 0, 3 credits. This course deals with concepts and principles associated with production and interpretation of radiographs and sonographs of normal and pathological cases.
