This course is designed to develop the student's knowledge of the materials and procedures of painting beyond the introductory level. Emphasis is placed on the creative and technical problems associated with communicating through composition and style. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate the application of the fundamentals of painting and the creative process to the communication of ideas. Prerequisite: ART233. (0-6-0)

Human Anatomy and Physiology I covers the structure and function of the human body. Included is an orientation of the human body, basic principles of chemistry, a study of cells and tissues, metabolism, joints, the integumentary, skeletal, muscular, and nervous systems, and the senses. Dissection, histological studies, and physiology are featured in the laboratory experience. A 120 minute laboratory is required. Prerequisites: BIO103. (3-2-0)
