Working in groups, students will survey the site, evaluate groundwater flow patterns, weather patterns, vegetative cover, soils and topography. All of the information will be mapped into a GIS system. Students will then evaluate the impact of the project or spill on the site evaluating areas of critical environmental concern such as wetlands, wildlife, water supply, flood control, storm damage prevention and many others.
