312. PURCHASING AND MATERIALS MANAGEMENT (Credit, 3 hours). Principles of purchasing and materials management applicable to manufacturing and service organizations, including policies, procedures, new product development, make-or-buy decisions, sourcing, pricing, contracts, negotiation, special purchases, legal and ethical consideration, inventory, and other related topics.
