PREREQUISITES: MFGJ 1311 COURSE OBJECTIVES: Identify steps in packing a mold. Prepare the master for packing. Prepare the vulcanizing rubber packing. Fit sprue former to sprue. Select appropriate mold frame for master. Pack minute recesses with precut pieces of rubber. Precut required number of vulcanizing rubber sheets to contour of master. Perform mold-packing operation.
