Proper voice leading, three or four-part writing is emphasized, along with analysis and composition studies in major and minor keys. Includes non-chord tones, diatonic sevenths, and dominant sevenths. Students must earn a "C" or better in both MUSC 113 and MUSC 123 to progress to MUSC 222 (Music Theory III) and MUSC 212 (Ear Training/Sightsinging III).
