EE 777D: BioMEMS and Applications
3.00 Credits
Wichita State University
BioMEMS and Applications: 3-credit lecture course of undergraduate and graduate standing. This course gives a comprehensive overview of the basic materials and methods involved in developing hybrid devices for applications as sensors and diagnostics tools in healthcare and environment. The materials section involves an analysis of silicon-based devices and polymer based devices. The methods section covers the key features of micro fabrication and soft lithography. The methods of integration of micro structures for specific sensor applications will be studied. The material covered will familiarize the students with the sensors currently in use or under development, how they operate, and under what circumstances they can be useful Course includes a project in biosensor device design Pre-requisites: EE 282

EE 791: Design Anlog Integra Circuits
3.00 Credits
Wichita State University
EE 791. Design of Analog Integrated Circuits Concerned primarily with the design of analog integrated circuits, and detailed analysis. The design concentrates on MOS devices, but some attention will also be given to bipolar technology. Dynamic loads will dominate, as the need is to limit passive components such as resistors and capacitors as much as possible. Specific circuits include current sources, voltage references, differential amplifiers, with operational amplifiers receiving the emphasis. SPICE simulation will be extensively used, including parameter sweeps, temperature effects, and sensitivity analysis as well as frequency response and time-domain analysis. Prerequisite: EE 691.
