3 hours credit Costume Production is an introduction to the processes and the techniques employed in the creation of costumes for theatrical performances and film. The focus of the class is the processes involved in building costumes, not costume design. Topics will include construction techniques, materials, fabrics, sewing, equipment, patterning, and cutting.

3 hours credit This course is a continuation of Stagecraft I, with an emphasis on more advanced construction techniques and problems. Students will serve in supervisory capacities on productions. Practical work outside of class is required on productions. This is a project-oriented course that allows a student to devote extended time to exploration in a particular area of interest utilizing skills gained in Stagecraft I. Specific projects are designed by the students and approved by the instructor. Prerequisite: THTR-0150, Stagecraft I.

3 hours credit This course examines advanced theories and methods of stage lighting for all production types. An in-depth study of technical/ theoretical facts, the artistiddesign concept development, and the "teamwork" structure of theatre. Advanced work in stagelighting optics, instrument selection and application, color theory, circuiting and computerized control systems, special effects, and production design. Prerequisite: THTR-0160, Stage Lighting I.

3 hours credit This course is an exploration and application of the techniques and materials used in creating character in the various elements of set design-walls, floors, furniture, beaches, rocks, trees, etc. Methods to include set preparation, coating, mixing, palette preparation, spraying, transfer, texturing, finishing, and wallpapering are studied. Prerequisite: THTR-0255, Stagecraft II.

3 hours credit Victimology is an introduction to victimology, with special emphasis on family violence, sexual assault, restitution, compensation, culpability, victim rights, vulnerability, victim surveys, and the international victimology movement.

3 hours credit Victim Services is an overview of community services dealing with victims, including social welfare services, crisis centers, medical services, criminal justice, and others. The course focuses on the role of a victim service agency as a new subsystem, with special emphasis on services.

3 hours credit This course covers the typology and history of family abuse, including legal guidelines, treatment approaches, emotional abuse, sexual abuse, spousal abuse, elderly abuse, and child abuse.

3 hours credit Rape and Child abuse inquires into the phenomenon of rape, myths about rape and rapists, and the treatment of rape victims. Perspectives on child victimization are developed through the examination of several social phenomena: child abuse/ neglect, divorce, media exploitation, and sexual abuse. The psychological, familial, social, legal, and cultural contexts of victimization are discussed.
