2 hours credit In this course, students will implement skills acquired in prerequisite courses and will study in-depth legal ethics. Emphasis is on client contact. Prerequisite: PRLG-0121, Introduction to Law, PRLG-0231, Legal Research II, and PRLG-0232, Litigation II.

1 hour credit Students will work in an approved training situation under instructional supervision. This internship is designed to give students the opportunity to apply the skills they acquired in the paralegal specialty courses. Prerequisite: PRLG-0121, Introduction to Law, PRLG-0231, Legal Research II, and PRLG-0232, Litigation II and PRLG-0271, Seminar: Legal Interviewing and Investigation.

3 hours credit This course is an introduction to the basic concepts, theories, and research findings in the evolving field of psychology. By learning to think psychologically, students gain insight into themselves and the dynamics of human thinking, behavior, and emotions.

3 hours credit This course is designed to accomplish two purposes: (a) To explore characteristics of a healthy personality and aid students in gaining insight that will foster their own personal growth, and (b) To explore the characteristics of healthy relationships and foster growth in these areas.

3 hours credit Students examine the psychological and ethical issues inherent in grief in order to understand the complex responses that result from a significant loss. This interdisciplinary course draws material from psychology, psychiatry, sociology, anthropology, medicine, religion, and philosophy.

3 hours credit This course is an overview of the psychological study of child development, from conception through adolescence. Students will focus on the physical, cognitive and emotional/social areas of child development. Students will also gain some increased understanding of how these factors continue to impact us personally as adults. And increased understanding of how adults can support the children in their lives. Prerequisite: PSYC-0101, Psychology.
