3 hours credit This course is an introduction to World Art from the Renaissance through the Modern and Post-Modern periods. It will investigate the painting, sculpture, and architecture of the different periods and place an emphasis on the elements of style which identify them. There is no prerequisite for this course.

3 hours credit This course is an introduction to Adobe Photoshop. It is oriented to students who have not been exposed to the formal study of this program. Students will learn the basic Photoshop work area and tools, including such concepts as selecting, layers, filters, painting, retouching, creating special effects. Students will work on various projects and may work with animation and preparing images for the web.

3 hours credit Students will acquire a working knowledge of the tools and techniques of Adobe Photoshop, as they are applied to graphic design, multi-media and other studio art applications. It is intended to build on the Computer Art One (Beginning Photoshop) course. The course will cover: advanced operation of tools and palettes, file formats, preparing and optimizing images for the web with Adobe Image Ready, transferring files, masks, paths and channels, color adjustment for printing and prepress production, advanced filters, animation for the web and general tips. Prerequisite: FNAR-0115, Beginning Photoshop.
