3 hours credit This course is designed for the person that will maintain daily operation of CAD systems. Information covered will be hardware selection, drawing naming and archiving techniques, keeping time records, file recovery techniques, using Windows to organize hard disc space, setting up CAD software for maximum performance, menu systems, symbol libraries, bill of material extraction, advanced CAD commands and an introduction to advanced Rendering. A continual shift from traditional drafting to computer aided drafting has created a need for individuals to learn management of CAD systems. Prerequisites: ENGR-0106, Computer Aided Drafting. 183

4 hours credit Students choose the field of specialization from the areas of architectural drawing, structural steel drawing, machine drafting, commercial building planning, or industrial illustration. They will follow the course outline designated for their area of specialization and proceed with advanced problems of that area performing both research and development using AUTOCAD?.

4 hours credit This course is designed to provide knowledge of light commercial building through such topics as problems in planning a building, traffic flow, site conditions, building codes, general use categories, landscaping and miscellaneous problems. Drawings will be completed using AUTOCAD? and architectural software. The student will design and draw plans for a light commercial building.

4 hours credit This course is a continuation of the Introduction to Structural Drawing, ENGR-0253. This course further develops the students' knowledge of prefabricated steel structures and advanced work in Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD).

4 hours credit This course will provide the student with information in the area of civil drafting. It will provide instruction from surveying to construction, courthouse research to artistic interpretation. It will further include GIS (Geographic Information Systems) as applied to civil drafting and the basic components of mapping.

3 hours credit each These courses are set up to award drafting technology students three hours credit for "on the job" training. The purpose of thistype of course is two fold: to give students practical experience in the field of drafting, and to allow prospective employers to be aware of student's abilities.

2 hours credit Improving Pronunciation is designed for students whose native language is not English. Activities include listening, speaking, and communicative exercises to practice English sounds.

3 credit hours Beginning ESL Vocabulary I provides three (3) hours of contact time per week for the purpose of increasing vocabulary, reading comprehension, listening, and writing skills. New words are presented in the context of 38 thematic units such as work, transportation, health, and government.

3 credit hours Beginning ESL Vocabulary II is a continuation of Beginning ESL Vocabulary I.
